Last week several of our Men and Women competed for Victoria in the 2020 Ivor Burge Championships – this is an annual 5 day tournament hosted by Basketball Australia, held at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.
Congratulations to Evie Patterson (WILD KATS) and Jasmine Dellas (RAGE), representing Victoria, who won the Gold Medal in a fantastic game against NSW women.
Congratulations also to Fraser Dawber and Luke Nichols, both from ROAR, who also played for Victoria and who won the Silver Medal in a nail biting finish in a game against SA.
Well done also to Sam Williver, who played with Western Australia. These girls who’d had very little time together for training, bonded well across the week and managed to win their first medal (Bronze).
Congratulations to you all – representing your State at National Championships, and all playing so well, please know we are all very proud of you.
