Mike & Lorraine first heard about Power Assist through their friendship with David McFarlane (founder of our Board) and their association with the Eltham Rotary Club. Mike and Lorraine were instrumental in honoring David’s legacy and love for the MLC competition (we expanded to that stadium in 2009), by ensuring we have volunteers helping on the door regularly. Mike & Lorraine have been doing this now, once a month, for many years. We thank Mike & Lorraine, John and Ann and the members of the Eltham Rotary Club for their support and ongoing interest in Power Assist.

I’m chairing the committee organising the Rotary Club of Eltham Art Show at which we will have on display 400-450 pieces of art work. We hope that this event will lead to it becoming an annual iconic event on the Melbourne art world calendar.
The “Eltham Art Show “ Gala Opening Night on Thursday 1 September is a ticketed event (tickets available at www.elthamartshow.org.au) including beverages & canapés plus the opportunity of first “dibs” at purchasing artworks created by well over 100 recognised and acclaimed local artists.
Profits from the Art Show will be directed towards supporting the many and varied projects which the Rotary Club of Eltham conducts in both the local and international communities.
